Lately I've been busy busy busy crocheting blankets. I spent such a long time stuffing up granny squares, that I decided to try this pattern at Ucreate. It looks great, but I forgot to take photos before gifting it to my 4mo nephew.
Here's my next project...a large granny blanket just for me. I think I've finally got it down pat...no skewing like I used to get. I have so many more crochet projects I want to try and I've pinned them into my pinterest account...now to find enough time to finish them all!
I also got the baking bug again and am totally in love with my new breadmaker! I late christmas present to myself :)
Raspberry and chocolate low-fat muffins from my favourite muffin cookbook - 500 Cupcakes
German grain bread...my favourite for sandwiches. I've only used the Laucke brand of flours so far, but they're a hit.
Yummy raisin bread...I'll add some more cinnamon next time. Find the recipe here to make this yummy loaf completely in the breadmaker.

Newbies and Newsies
Howdy hey everyone. Yup, it's been a long long time, but with good reason. I have some news - a new little crafty baby is on the way! Wee!
Everything's going well so far, except for the constant nausea and lack of an immune system...yuck. But the holidays gave me some time to create some gorgeous new pieces.
All these cuties are available in store right now. Fingers crossed I get some of my old energy back and have some brand new pieces for you very soon.
What a cutie, huh! This is little "Button" at 12 weeks.

New - Mix and Match Hair Pins
I've always loved making these little hair pins, but I always get asked whether sets can be mixed...well all of my new pins at Paper and Ribbons are separate. Mix and match, create your own sets, and save on shipping!
There are plenty more to come, so keep an eye out in the Hair Pins section of the shop. In the middle of taking photos Melbourne had flash flooding and massive thunderstorms...so not the best light for product shots.
The pins I use are very strong and flat, so are perfect for fine and little girls' hair but won't rip your hair out with them.

I've been crafting again
Now my new studio is pretty much finished (pics soon, I promise) I've had space to create some things lately...
New bridesmaid earrings and necklaces, a goodluck card for a lovely new mum-to-be and my clock makeover. Hopefully I'll have some time to make some more cards soon.
Here's a question for you - do you buy cards online? What kinds of cards do you buy - birthday, thank you, or just cards to write a thinking of you letter to a good friend?

Redecorating - Part 2
I finally gave in and spent "some" time in the new Ikea store in Springvale, which I pass on my way to and from work every day. When I say some time, it was more like 4 hours, and hubby is still not allowed to know how much I spent. I had each of these on my list (the wingback chair is not from Ikea, but I love it so much)...
So I walked out with the rug, lamp and lampshade, pink vase, white light, bookcase, throw and purple bowl. My studio is really coming along...just have to get some more furniture painted up and the shelves and photos on the walls. Don't worry, I still have some of that awesome teal green in the mix too.
