Redecorating - Part 2

I finally gave in and spent "some" time in the new Ikea store in Springvale, which I pass on my way to and from work every day. When I say some time, it was more like 4 hours, and hubby is still not allowed to know how much I spent. I had each of these on my list (the wingback chair is not from Ikea, but I love it so much)...

So I walked out with the rug, lamp and lampshade, pink vase, white light, bookcase, throw and purple bowl. My studio is really coming along...just have to get some more furniture painted up and the shelves and photos on the walls. Don't worry, I still have some of that awesome teal green in the mix too.

Custom bridesmaid necklaces

I recently finished off a HUGE order of necklaces for a bridal part. It took a while and my fingers got a little sore with all of the wire wrapping, but I got there in the end. :)

I love it - the cranberry red pearls are gorgeous! I have another order based around the same design in progress too.

Redecorating - Part 1

I've become one of those people. One of those people that don't stop talking about renovations. So far our bedroom has had a little makeover with fresh new paint, new curtains and a lovely new light shade. Our new bed is one the way!

Next is my studio. I've been gathering inspiration for this space for ages on Pinterest and I've finally decided on a few things including a colour palette and wall paint. I managed to get the ceiling painted tonight and it's off to the hardware store to get some gorgeous blue paint tomorrow. Here's how I imagine my room...

Furntiture - Ikea and Early Settler, Paint from Dulux.

I bought the most gorgeous fabric lantern as my main light fitting for a bargain last night. It's a gorgeous dark teal with pink and purple flowers. I already have a white desk and side table, but I'm hoping to splurge a little at Ikea when it opens this week on some white shelves and little bits and bobs.
